While watching the Democratic National Convetion this evening, I had the oddest thought. There are 75,000 people in Mile High stadium. Imagine each one of those 75,000 people as a word, and you would have a novel. A 75,000 word book. Imagine, that you had to strategically place every one of those 75,000 people in an order that made sense, that told a story, that evoked emotion, that made us sigh.
No wonder herding words is so difficult. No wonder we slave over the placement of every one, no matter how big, or how small.
